Outreach

November: St. Paul’s Christmas Share: Financial donations are forwarded to St. Paul’s Social Services to purchase gift cards to provide Christmas food and gifts for families in need.  They are requesting gift cards or cash not gifts at Xmas time.  Gift cards can be purchased through Rick.

December: Rector’s Discretionary Fund Gift cards and financial donations given on Christmas Eve are distributed throughout the year for those in our congregation and in the community who need help with groceries, bus tickets, and more.

Breakfast Program
This past Saturday we served a new high number of breakfasts -162. We actually served more
than St. John’s who served 155 dinners that same day. We welcomed new families, new
students, and welcomed back some folks that we haven’t seen for some months. Thanks to a
well-organized kitchen leader there was food for all.
Needed now are men’s coats in larger sizes and women’s coats in smaller sizes. We are in need
of toiletries – soap, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, and body wash. Toilet paper is always
appreciated as well.
Our next breakfast is December 6th . All are welcome.

St. Paul’s Foodbank
Our next time to donate food for St. Paul’s Foodbank is Sunday, 14th December.

Fundraising and Social

Calendars!! 2026 Canadian Church Calendars are now here and can be purchased from any
Chancel Guild member at the usual price – $10.00. An annual bargain!

BAZAAR STUFF:
The Bazaar is this Saturday!!! . Come and find those attic treasures, Christmas decorations,
crafts, jewelry, preserves and baked goods. And don’t forget the quilt draw and a light lunch
when you’re done shopping!
Bazaar Bake Table:
Just a reminder that at this time of the year, shoppers are looking for holiday baked goods.
Favorites are such items as: shortbread, holiday cookies, mincemeat pies and tarts, fruit pies,
squares, homemade candy, fruitcake and fruit loaves and other favorites that you like to make;
e.g. scones, coffee cake, etc.
If you have your baking ready, it may be dropped off at the church on Friday the 21st
November from 4-6 p.m. or Saturday morning before 9 a.m.
Label the baking for the ‘bake table’ and include if the item contains nuts or peanut butter.

Choir!!
Will always welcome anyone with a love of music and singing to join them. Rehearsal time is
on Sunday at 11.15 am, after the 10.00 am service.

AV Team: We need volunteers to run the slides during our Sunday services. Team members do
not make up the slides. Our job is to push the computer key to advance the slides through the
service. We also run the camera when the service is live streamed. Basic computer skills are all
that are needed, and there is one on one training and step-by-step instructions to help.
